Digital Citizenship survival kit
Thanks Craig Badura for this great idea!! Check him out on Twitter: @mrbadura
This week you will be receiving a set of cards that are titled a "Digital Citizenship survival kit". These cards all include tips for digital citizenship. I created a set of cards that had images for each survival kit (created by Craig Badura); the teachers then used these to discuss the concepts with their students.
Explanations we used
Today you will go over these cards with your mod. Show the pictures and read the descriptions to them. A good idea would be to show them the picture and ask them what this could mean regarding digital citizenship before you read the explanation to them.
Today and next week you and your mod students are asked to create your own "digital citizenship survival kit". Brainstorm ideas together and then have students bring the items in. Please encourage them to think of new items that weren't already discussed.
All survival kits will be displayed at Parent-Teacher conferences.
A few clarifications for YOUR mod's digital citizenship survival kit.
1. Please have your students bring in actual items (not pictures)
2. Please create cards with explanations or a sheet with the explanation for all your items. (These will be displayed at P/T conferences
Students will get the items back after conferences are over.
